with my knitting that is.
So much for working on a project that I already have on the needles! I decided that I can knit myself a wonderful cardigan. Shouldn't be too difficult right?
Almost $200 on yarn, a book, and the appropriate needles, as well as some knit wash... this is what I came up with:
The wonderful ladies at my LYS helped me find a book, called "Button Up Your Top Down" by Deb Gemmell full of patterns that are appropriate for my skill level. Then to top it off, once I decided on a pattern, one of the women sat down with me and read through the pattern to make sure I understood all of the terms in the pattern. There was only one thing that I didn't know how to do and that was M1, or make one....needless to I learned how to do it right there. After purchasing everything.. I got home and got started.
This is what I have accomplished so far:
How does it look?
Happy Knitting :D

It's quite lovely. Don't worry too much about your mom though; I keep her busy with my own WIPs that I need nudges to finish...
You are making good progress. I knit my first sweater this past fall. Just take your time, follow the directions, double check your stitches and progress, don't be afraid to tink. You will get it done and be very proud of yourself and we will all be proud of you.
Very nice! Love the yarn...perfect color for you!
