August means The Hampton's

We are here again for the month.

Last year we were staying in Amaganset, which is a little area that from my understanding is a part of East Hampton. Everything last year was very lavish, and chic. The scenery was amazing! Here is a photo recap of last year:

It's Lovely isn't it. Last year, we had a lot of fun soaking in the sun and building memories. This year should be just as much fun! It's day four and we are already living it up! Looking forward to the rest of August :)

Working outside

I've been working on my knitting as much as possible! I have been attending a weekly knitting group on Saturday mornings, and its really fun! I love being able to see what everyone else is working on, and get pointers and great tips from everyone.

This morning and the other morning while Little Dan and I were playing outside, enjoying some of the warmer days of winter, I brought my coffee and my knitting with us. It was very enjoyable to knit while he was playing and talking to him about how silly he is! Its great to make him laugh about everything!

I also love the peacefulness of our backyard. We have a great view through the wooded area, down to the pond which is now frozen! Little Dan and I talk about the birds that we can see and hear--he is very observant!

Ooh, and I know have been able to try on my cardigan, (it fits!) and now it has armholes too!!

Happy knitting :)

Flurry Of White

We had our first real snow of the season! It was simply beautiful, and when I took these photographs the only thing that had disrupted the peace of it, was a herd of dear. I saw their hoof prints everywhere.

The temps are dropping, though its not as cold here as it is a little further North where Jess of VeeDog Knits is! It has been in between 18-24 for the last few days, definately the season to get all bundled up and take a nice brisk stroll... walkin in a winter wonderland :)

I find the snow so peaceful and beautiful, maybe I will take the Littles for a nice wintertime stroll today...hmmm... if its not too cold!

Ask & Ye Shall Receive

The Queen requested that I get to my computer and make a new Munchkin Monday Post, so here it is:

Well a few weeks ago I posted(Leaf Lovin Munchkins)about a fun day playing in the leaves with the kiddo's but I was unable to put up any corresponding photos. I decided that sense it is officially winter now in our part of the globe that I should make one last fall post for the year. So here are some great pictures of the Littles playing forever on a crisp, sunny, autumn day.

We started out with a tiny little pile, which of course was big enough for all of the fun. However after you jump into a crunchy leafy pile of fun enough time, it starts to flatten out. So its time to grab the rakes and make.... a huge pile! This pile was but on the slope of the yard, and at its tallest point, it measured about 3 1/2 feet, and it was sort of oval shaped 5 feet wide at the widest, and 4 feet wide at the narrowest point. This was no joke of a pile. So of course, I thought, "Hey that pile is so big I should be able to jump in it just like the kids!"After deciding it was large enough fro me to actually do so, I showed Little Ann how to snap a photo, and she caught me just as I was landing in the pile, on my butt, leaves crushing beneath me and flying around, as I slammed hard through the pile to the ground and knocked the wind out of myself! It was fun, but painful too, I won't make that mistake again!

After I got up there was sort of a dent. Little Ann thought that it would be really cool to have a leaf fort, so we grabbed our tunnel from the house, plopped it into the center and piled the top with more leaves. The kids had the time of their lives crawling through the tunnel and sitting in the middle of the leaves. There was no lack of laughter at our house that day! Just a great way to toss up some leaves and enjoy the lovely fall weather and scenery :)

Hopefully everyone got a chance to truely enjoy their fall seasons.. on with winter!

A lovely fall weekend

This has been a wonderful fall weekend! I thought I would try to make some time to post, since as the Queen points out, any readers that I have, probably don't read due to my lack of postings! Which I will just say is due to me pursuing my education, and being extremely focused on getting good grades! Look at all those school books, its not easy work!
Anyhow, this weekend I have been taking advantage of this lovely autumn weather, and studying outside! I love the fresh air this time of year it just seems so crisp. :) Here are some of my attempts at artsy fall photos :)

The F Words

Family, Friends, Fun, and Fabulous Scenery!

That is what this last week has been for me! So much so that I ended up switching my flight to stay for one more day! :) So I will be spending my New Years in Seattle once again! And I'll be loving it!
Oh how I enjoy this place called home! (other than my ridiculous allergies that spring up when I'm here) Its a very lovely locus.

I miss the mountains...its always very calming to be able to look off into the distance and see the strong, soaring, snow-capped mountains. (Lots of kisses for blogless Jess!) They just look so cozy!

And the combination of the bare trees and the plenteous, leafy evergreens waving in the winds...just makes you smile :)

The serene and sparkling Puget Sound...one of my favorite spots here is to drive down to Sunset Ave and park by the water. Very tranquil and scintillating scene.
