Yesterday I spent 30 minutes de-tangling all of my jewelry from my move! I had just tossed it all in a bag because I was in a rush to get things done and I will never do it again!! It was a nightmare! So now I am going to buy one of those bead sorting clear plastic containers with separate compartments...I figure that it will be slim enough to pack when moving and then each peace will only ever have to be de-tangled from itself!
Here are some close-ups on my bags! (Bag-love baby!) The last pic wasn't so great...so here you go:
And here are some accessories for my room that I have added to make it feel like home! And I need opinions on weather or not we like the window-accessories...I can't decide.

mmmm...Yummy!
This week at the grocery store, I loaded up on grapes, strawberries, plums, peaches, a mango and apples for fruit...and for veggies I bought radishes, more green beans, mushrooms, a cucumber, and celery. I think that it is really turning into a good habit to chop up and wash all of the fruits and veggies immediately when I get home, so that when I am wanting something, I can go to them first. Plus it makes meal prep much easier! This morning for breakfast, I had diced radishes, mushrooms, and bell peppers, in scrambled eggs with toast.
Then for lunch I made a mountainous wrap! Including every veggie I've listed so far, as well as lunch meat and a sprinkle of goat's cheese, and a bowl of every fruit I've listed on the side. It was delish! But somewhat hard to eat. And very filling!
Over the weekend Dave, Amber, Will and I took a day trip to NYC. We went to Times square and wandered around a bit, then headed to china town, and then back to times square for a wonderful lunch at the Hard Rock before heading home...with a ton of wonderful new purses in tow! I purchased: A Chanel handbag with matching wallet, a Coach handbag, and a Versace handbag! It was so thrilling! They may or may not be real or stolen or whatever, but I love them anyway and could care less how they got into my hands! (Which is horrible I know, but can you blame a girl for loving her accessories!) I also found an amazing deal on some Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses and D & G's new perfume 'light blue', which is slightly watered down, but I prefer it that way...so I am thoroughly satisfied from the retail world for a while!
I am also very proud because Tuesday was garbage and recycling day. When I first moved here, the family had at least 2-3 cans of garbage (one big one on wheels, and then 2 smaller ones) every week and one small bin filled with recycling. This week (and I was lame enough to photograph it!) We were down to just the large bin of garbage, and 4 small-ish boxes and bins filled with recycling!! It just makes me smile to know that I could effect that much of what was going into a landfill, simply by looking up the recycling laws for our state and county! So I think that it is wise to know what exactly can and can't be recycled in your area, and to post in on your fridge or somewhere handy...look what it did for our house!! :D

I am determined!
To be healthy again! So I went a little crazy in the produce department! This is just some of the fruit that I purchased. Mangos, peaches, nectarines, oranges, grapefruit, apples, strawberries, and pineapple! Yumm-o! Now I can have fruits for snacks!
And Veggies too! I got snap peas, fresh green beans, and red and green bell peppers! I basically brought home the produce dept. Then I sliced up everything that needed slicing while little dan was asleep so that I can just grab it when I'm feeling snacky! Plus I added the slices of bell pepper to my wrap yesterday and it was de-lish!
Other than produce, I bought some soups, and frozen dinners, and some frozen peas, corn, and broccoli. I like to take the frozen dinners and split them in half, add a ton of frozen veggies and then I have 2 meals for less! I am also deciding to do my pilates dvd every other day and try to get little dan in the stroller for walks on a regular basis too!
After gaining all my weight back, I realized that I needed a plan, so now that I have one, I know I can slim down again, and this time try to keep it down!

The Big E
aka the Eastern States Exposition, started this past weekend, (left to right in the photo is Me, Amber, Dave, and Will)the four of us went up for a day trip. It was a blast
...and yes it is just like the puyallip! We saw all kinds of vendors selling a bazillion different things. I bought a new set of sheets because I love sheets! We all learned magic! We went on all kinds of rides! Dave played the carnival games and won me a gigantic elephant, named Elle, and he won Amber a teddy bear. We rode on a real elephant named Orla, she was 38 years old, and her skin was rough, it was weird, b/c as you can see in the photo, I was sitting on the front of the elephant, and my legs are so long that Orla's ears kept flitting past my foot...it was weird! But it does go on the list of the coolest things that I have ever done! I rode an elephant!
There was also a part of the fair grounds that had old police cars and then officers standing about, so we played in the police cars for a little bit. There was a police dog there that made me cry! She reminded me of home! I miss the dogs!! But it was good to love on a blood hound! Basically the day was a great success! Next weekend we have planned a trip to NYC! Which should be fun as well!

Mail Time!!
I love getting mail! (well except bills!) Last week I received 2! packages!! hooray! One from the queen:
She sent more yarn for me to finish my 'Midwest Moonlight' Scarf. Which is actually coming allong quite nicely after tearing it out once and starting over! (Its a pattern from a book called Scarf Style I love this kind of sea foamy, pale, blue green. The Yarn is kid-n-ewe, color 660, and it is very lovely to knit with. I'm hoping to finish it up in time for the holidays to give as a christmas present. (I'm a slow knitter!) Anyhow she also sent this cookbook on kids cooking. Little Ann doesn't give me many options when it comes to lunch and dinner time, and I was getting tired of making the same handful of things over and over again! Well I think we have solved the problem (temporarily at least!) Little Anne and I were flipping through the cookbook, and she was getting excited about almost all of the recipes! I think that it helps that all of the recipes have pictures by them to show how good they look as well as sound...I know that when I was a kid I always wanted to eat the food from the cookbook with the yummy pictures! (I still do!) So when I go grocery shopping tomorrow I will pick up some new ingredients and we'll test out a new recipe!
The second package was from my sister! It included: She sent a whole lot of toothpaste! yup! Well I kinda have a dental hygene obsession where I brush my teeth at least 3 times a day if not more...Jessica has an issue (or more of a fear maybe) of never wanting to run out of toothpaste or extra toothbrushes, so she buys them everytime she is in a grocery store! She kindly passed some along to me so that I won't ever run out either! I also received from her a little notebook and tinkerbell pen! And some candles in my favorite fragrance from Pier One (Ilsand Orchard). Yummy! I love candles!
I will also have to take more pictures of my room...I got all of the art put up onto the walls and then set up all of my candlescapes, so it feels like a real home now! With the paint done and everthing in place it is very serene! More to post on this later, for now I am off to bed! I've been waking up late, and having to run downstairs in my pj's! I don't particularly like standing waiting for the bus in my pj's where all of the neightbor's can see! :)

A breif update
So much to update! Where do I begin? Well, last week I jinxd myself, and ended up getting sick! I'm better now though. Over the weekend I began to paint my room...I won't tell you the details about it b/c it isn't finished! I will show pics once its done! I hate painting!!
I spent a lot of time this weekend with my friends, we had dinner on Thursday, a bonfire on Saturday, and hung out on the beach on Sunday! It was fun!
And I know I had mensioned that i bought a new camera so you would expect some pics, but since my room is covered by a drop cloth...I will post some in time!
Oh and on monday I took little dan to to see the doc, and he now has developed strep!! Which totally stresses me out b/c I have to take care of him, and what if I get it?! I'm allergic to his meds and several other antibiotics!
Anyhow I don't have much time to update right now...maybe I'll do another post later today! :)

My exhaustion!!
Last week, little Dan got sick with Coxacki virus (aka hand, foot and mouth disease), and it was sooo sad. He was inconsolable, and all that anyone could do was hold him, and try to keep him calm. It would break my heart every time that he was crying b/c there was nothing I could do to make it better...he wouldn't eat or drink anything, and was just completely miserable for 3 days!! :( Worse yet, the doc said that Gwen and I would definitely get it from him from being with him so much while he was sick, and I have felt fine so I think that I am in the clear, of course i don't know what the actually time period that I could get it would be and I don't want to jinx myself....but hopefully I'm not going to get sick.
Thursday was little Ann's first day of first grade!! So exciting! The neighbor had his first day of kindergarten too, so both families were standing outside for at least 30 minutes before the bus came to take photos, and make sure they had everything, and then as soon as the bus swooped up the kids, the moms jumped in their SUV's and met the kids at school! It was pretty cute. little Ann said that she had a good day, and so far we haven't had any homework, although she did come home with a hw folder, so we may be getting it at anytime...
Friday night I went out with the gang for margaritas and Mexican! We went to this cute little place in Milford, called Cancun Charlies, which has an outdoor deck overlooking the ocean. It was pretty! Then we hung out at the beach for a while.
Saturday, I really didn't do much. I was going to paint my room this weekend, however, I decided that I would wait until the guest room is empty so that I can move sheila in there and sleep there while the paint fumes are present. Oh and I did decide to go with the darker brown for the accent wall-I think it will make a really stark and lovely contrast! I'm excited to get it done!
Sunday I woke up early for no reason. Then I went out and bought a new digital camera...if you haven't noticed-there has been a lack of pictures, because my camera has been broken. It was going to cost me an estimated (no body could give me an actually number) between $50-$100...So I started looking and I ended up getting the new camera on sale for $129!!
Then I spent the rest of the day getting ready for and helping set up for Caitlin's (Gwen's niece) 21st birthday party!! I just have to mention that these people know how to throw a good party! It was absolutely a blast! Unfortunately, I ended up staying awake until 4am, and then was rudely awoken by loud children at 7:30!! On top of that, I did have Monday off, but then Gwen and Scott ended up with tickets to the us open, and they go every year...so I watched the Littles until midnight! and then had to be up again at 7 today for work...needless to say with no naps and one extremely sleepless weekend, I am exhausted!
But it was fun! hopefully I get some more sleep this week! as a matter of fact, I'm off to bed now!
