The lovely news I received

Was not so lovely at all. Apparently I'm obese. Yup thats right, not just slightly overweight or something like that... obese! Not a fun thing to find out when you have always known that you have some form of weight issues, but were overall ok with how you looked, and then to be stamped as obese! I guess I need to start Weight Watchers again!

Wish me luck

Rotten Bananas

OK.. not quite, but they were certainly getting there! What do you do with a gross banana? Well all the people that I know, would say... banana bread! However I've never made banana bread, and although I like cooking..I'm no baker!

Oh well, I'll give it a shot. So I went on over to the Food Network and found myself a recipe..
As I'm making it, I used 1/2 a cup of sugar and we had no more sugar, splenda, anything! and I needed another 1/2 cup. So of course I borrowed some from our friendly neighbors! :) And then popped it in the oven, and an hour later...

Voila! Banana Bread!

It was quite delicious if I do say so myself!

Monday Monday

Saturday night G invited me to go miniature golfing with them while S went to a baseball game. So I went, and it was fun! :)

Little Dan was hilarious! He was swinging his putter everywhere! Paying no attention to where the hole was he was just whacking in the general direction of the ball and hoping to hit it... and we were all just hoping that it didn't end up hitting anyone in the process.

Little Ann was a whizz! She ended up winning... but she did hit first and was rushing through the holes while the rest of us were trying to finish one hole, she'd be waiting at the next one to go! She even got a couple of hole-in-ones... according to her anyway ;)

Then we went out to dinner... what a lame Saturday night for me that I had to spend it with G and the kiddos, because I had nothing better to do! lol but I did have fun, and I was glad they invited me!

(oh and I got a new camera this weekend sense mine was broken and it was going to cost me to have it repaired.. I thought it was going to be covered under warranty. Anyhow no more cell phone pictures, so they should be of a better quality now! Yay!)

Dogs on Thursday..on Friday

A day late, a dollar short? eh..better late than never! :)

So Little Dan and I went to the library today, and we checked out a few books.. one about construction trucks, one about trains, one about all sorts of ramps, and then one less informative one that is very cute! It is about a dog named Smog. Smog The City Dog, by Adria Meserve; It is a very cute story, with great pictures, so if you have kids, check it out :)

And here are some pics of the four-leggeds that I love! Zahra, playing outside in the leaves, her colors coordinate very well with the fall colors that we are beginning to see around here.. and Kati is posing :) So adorable! :)

In loving Memory

To me, this day will always be sad. To hear the replays on the radio of the events that happened brings me to tears. And I, along with every other person in this country can remember exactly what they were doing when they heard and saw what was happening in New York City 7 years ago. We can remember how we felt and what we did, and what we couldn't do.
So today I just wanted to take a moment to remember those tragic events, and give my heart out to those individuals that were personally affected by the terrorist attacks on 9/11. I know how horrible I felt, and I can't begin to imagine how it would have felt to have a loved one lost that day. What a terrible series of events.
And now to those men and women who are out there serving our country in the hopes of preventing future terrorism in the world. Thank you very very much! You go above and beyond, thank you is the least I can say. You are truly wonderful, and brave!

I wish everyone peace and love, especially on this sad day.

Sad day for the nanny :(

This past Thursday Little Dan had his first day of Nursery School. He will be going twice a week for 2 hours each time.. a nice little break for the nanny! So we got him all dressed and he looked so handsome! He was ready to go see his teacher and meet some new friends, and play and learn.. it was a very exciting day! S dropped him off, and then I was to pick him up an hour later (they only do an hour the first day to make the separation easier).
Well I arrived to pick up t he little munchkin, and as soon as he saw me he ran away screaming "No Kystle!" I was so sad :( so I went over and got down on his level and told him that he would be back soon to see his teacher and play with all of his new friends... of course then he ran away again this time towards his teach and said to me, "I don't want you!!" :( :( I was so sad, I wanted to cry! He didn't want me! (if you could see my face you would see that I was pouting!..the Littles have taught me to perfect the pout.)

Oh well, at least he likes school, and his teacher and everything! But it was a sad day for the nanny!

Getting along...

So far the girls are! (And by the girls I mean Kati and Zahra) They play very well together, and they are both getting plenty of love... and the really nice thing is that they get each other all crazy and then play hard and tire each other out!! Then they sleep :)

Gotta love those dogs! :D

Kelsey Came for a Visit

Kelsey came for a long weekend, 4 days, in the very end of June. We did had the most relaxing weekend ever! We did tons of at home facials and rented all kinds of movies, and spent every morning at the beach... in an effort to save some moola we only went out a few times, and it was a lot of fun!
